Who can participate?

Open to all alumni of the NIT Trichy Batch of 2001 attending REConnecT 2026. Both amateur and professional photographers are welcome.

Submission rules

  • Maximum 2 entries per category, per participant.
  • Photos must be your own original work.
  • Accepted formats: JPG or PNG. Max file size 10MB.
  • Minimal post-processing allowed — colour correction and cropping only. No heavy compositing or AI-generated content.
  • Photos must be recent and not previously shared in common social media groups.

Judging criteria

  • Composition — framing, balance, and visual storytelling.
  • Technical quality — sharpness, exposure, and use of light.
  • Emotional impact — how well the photo conveys its story.
  • Relevance — connection to the category and NIT Trichy / alumni spirit.

Awards

Winners will be announced at the REConnecT 2026 gala dinner. A People's Choice award will be determined by likes received during the contest period.

Click the Login button in the top navigation. On the login screen, Enter your registered email address and default password 12345678.
What are the other components on the Home Page?+
The home page features the Reunion Highlights (event schedule), Roll of Honour (registered alumni), Then & Now photo carousel, Echoes from the Halls (memory wall), In Loving Memory (tribute section), Our Legacy, Organising Committee, and Sponsors sections.
How to register for the reunion event?+
Click "Register Now" on the home page. You must be logged in first. Follow the steps: Login → Reset Password → Register Now.
On first login, use your registered email and default password 12345678, then reset your password before proceeding to Registration.
How to upload my 'Then' and 'Now' pictures?+
Navigate to the "Then & Now" section and click the upload area. You can submit one photo from your college days (Then) and one recent photo (Now). After review by the organising committee, your pair will be featured on the carousel.
How do I view or download the REM book?+
The REM Book 2001 pdf can be viewed/downloaded once you login.
What is the registration fee structure?+
• Each Alumnus/Alumna : Rs. 15,000 (USD 167)
• Each Family member : Rs. 2,500 (USD 28)
What are the expenses covered in the alumni registration fees?+
The expenses included are, but not limited to: The Gala Dinner, Souvenir, Event Management, Transportation during the two days event, Felicitation gifts, DJ License, Videography & Photography, Decorations, Generator Power.
Is the accommodation cost included in the registration fees?+
Accommodation is NOT included in the standard registration fee. However, we have arranged preferential rates at partner hotels near NIT Trichy. Booking details will be shared with registered alumni.
